The leader of the National Liberal Party (NLP), Dr. Augustus Kyalo Muli, has challenged the Kenya Kwanza administration under President William Ruto to stop engaging in “two-term” politics and instead focus on delivering the promises made to Kenyans during the 2022 general election.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Muli said the time for politics is over and that the government should now concentrate on improving the lives of citizens through tangible development.
“Kenyans don’t want to hear about 2032 or two-term politics. They want services, they want development, and they want promises fulfilled now,” Muli stated.
He further warned that if Ruto’s government fails to deliver on its pledges by 2027, Kenyans will have every right to vote it out of power.
“This administration made many promises, jobs, affordable living, and grassroots development, but so far, many citizens are still struggling,” he added.
Meanwhile, residents of Kitui County have expressed optimism as preparations continue for this year’s Mashujaa Day national celebrations, which will be held in the region.
They hope the event will attract government investment in infrastructure and stimulate the local economy.
The residents also urged the government to ensure proper preparations and to launch projects that will bring long-term benefits to the community.
