The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has released the official timetable for the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) for Grade 6 pupils.Â
The exams will begin with a rehearsal on Friday, October 25, 2024, with the main assessments taking place from Monday, October 28, to Wednesday, October 30, 2024.
The examination will kick off with Mathematics and English on Monday, followed by Kiswahili, Integrated Science, and Sign Language on Tuesday.
On the final day, learners will take Creative Arts and Social Studies.
KNEC has provided strict instructions to supervisors, emphasizing that no extra time will be allowed beyond what is indicated on each paper.
Candidates must remain in the assessment room for the full duration unless granted special permission.
Additionally, KNEC warned against cheating, stating that any irregularities would result in the cancellation of the entire subject’s results.
The KPSEA is part of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) introduced in Kenya to emphasize skills and practical knowledge.
It replaces the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and marks the completion of Grade 6 as students prepare to enter junior secondary school.
