CS Owalo Launches Kenya Economic Innovation Partnership Program

Today, Konza Technopolis inaugurated the 2022/2023 Kenya Economic Innovation Partnership Program in collaboration with the Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) (EIPP).

Ik Hyun, the managing director of KOTRA, and CS Information, Communication, and Digital Economy Eliud Owalo conducted the official launch.

“I have this morning launched Year Two Projects (2022-2023) under the Economic Innovation Partnership Program (EIPP) between Kenya and the Republic of Korea,” said Owalo.

He added, “EIPP is an extended cooperation grant model by the Government of the Republic of Korea.”

The program is a collaboration between Konza Technopolis Development Authority and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) (KoTDA).

The partnership’s primary area of concentration is the preliminary feasibility research procedure for the Konza Smart City Intelligent Transportation System and Integrated Control Centre.

Eng. John Mbugua, Principal Secretary of, State Department for Roads who was also in attendance during the event noted that the government is committed to supporting the project.

EIPP maximizes business effectiveness by promoting policy advice for system improvement and implementation of the projects identified.
