Koroga Festival’s plans to host its 29th edition in the Hells Gate National Park have been given a go-ahead by the Environment Court.
The Environment Court dismissed the case by activist Paula Kahumbu who Koroga Festival set for this weekend in Hell’s Gate, Naivasha, to be held somewhere else.
The Environment Court sitting in Nakuru ruled that Kahumbu’s case is “baseless”, and gave a greenlight to organizers to proceed with plans.

In her suit, Kahumbu had argued that the event will disrupt a major ecosystem for the Ruppel Vultures and wanted the event relocated.
All is now set for Koroga Festival at Hells Gate on Friday and Saturday, despite concerns on how the management will ensure the disturbance is contained.
The Kenya Tourism Federation in a statement, citing it is against the loud music.
” Kenya Tourism Federation is NOT against the Love Festival in its entirety and the activities around it such us; Sustainability conference, lake cleaning, Mt. Longonot climbing, blood donation, among others. The location of the musical concert is the only concern.”
