Milimani Law Courts Chief Magistrate Lukas Onyina has lifted a warrant of arrest against Korogocho MCA Absalom Odhiambo.
The warrant was issued by the same Court after the MCA failed to appear in court last month to answer charges of incitement to violence.
However, the Legislator informed Court that he did turn up in Court only to find the Court not sitting.
Absalom who is accused of uttering inciting words that implied causing anarchy in the Country on January 25,2023, has been on the corridors of Court ever since he was arrested early this year.
In a case believed to be fueled by a political witch-hunt, Absalom has maintained that he is innocent and the only reason he is being targeted is that he appears in a different political formation from that of the ruling Party (UDA).
The prosecution allege that the MCA said, “Kwa siasa ya Taifa tunataka tutoke kwenda ikulu tutoe huyu mwizi, nataka tuingie town tufunge biashara, hakuna biashara itaendelea hii town ya Nairobi, ndio William Ruto aheshimu Raila Odinga. Lazima tufunge biashara hii town”.
