Kenya Airways (KQ) led the gainers at the Nairobi Securities Exchange after rising 7.08% to close at Ksh 6.96.
TPS Eastern Africa (TPSE) followed with a 5.16% gain to Ksh 16.30, while Longhorn Kenya (LKL) advanced 3.64% to Ksh 3.13. Kapchorua Tea (KAPC) and Centum Investment (CTUM) also recorded gains of 1.58% and 1.46% respectively.
On the losing side, Eaagads (EGAD) declined 5.04% to Ksh 33.00, while Sameer Africa (SMER) dropped 4.83% to Ksh 16.75. Olympia Capital (OCH), Flame Tree Group (FTGH), and Home Afrika (HAFR) also posted losses ranging between 1.37% and 2.62%.
Market activity was dominated by Safaricom (SCOM), which recorded the highest traded volume at 5,450,985 shares. Equity Group (EQTY) followed with 999,590 shares, while Kenya Re (KNRE) traded 799,870 shares.
KenGen (KEGN) and KCB Group (KCB) also featured among the most active counters, reflecting sustained investor interest across key counters.
