KRC Suspends Train Services On Nakuru-Kisumu Route

The Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC) has suspended trips on its Metre Gauge Railway (MGR) service between Nakuru and Kisumu.

KRC said in a statement on Thursday that the suspension was necessary due to heavy rains across the country.

“We have therefore suspended the Kisumu Safari train services on Friday, May 5 and Sunday, May 7,” read part of the statement.

However, the rail service provider assured its customers that efforts are underway to restore track and that communication will be made once clearance is granted.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences caused.”
