Ksh 1.35B Disputed Land Is Mine: Former Nairobi PC Davis Chelogoi Insists

Former Nairobi PC Davis Chelogoi has insisted that the Ksh 1.35B land he has been accused of obtaining fraudulently belongs to him legally.

In a letter submitted to the Chief Land Register on Wednesday the 20th and received on the 21st stamped by the registrar’s office, Davis Nathan Chelogoi asserted that the disputed parcel of land belonged to him.

This came after he appeared before Senior Principal Magistrate Dolphina Alego and pled not guilty to multiple accusations including conspiracy to defraud, forceful detainer, forgery, issuing forged documents, illegally acquiring land registration, and abuse of office.

In the Letter to Chief registrar, Ministry of Land, Chelogoi stressfully complained of a well hatched plot to defraud him his land.

He also brought to the attention of his details being erased from land registry system. Through his Lawyer Prof Tom Ojienda, Chelogoi reminded the court that their is a civil matter on the said land ELC 312 of 2009 and 070 of 2023.

“The State preferring charges against me is purely malice and intimidation to force me surrender my land to land grabbers like Ashok Rupshi Shah” Chelogoi stressed.

In the charge sheet before the trial court, it is alleged that Chelogoi conspired to defraud Ashok Rupshi Shah of the said land.

Through a protest letter to lands Ministry Chelogoi termed the actions of the Land Chief Registrar as unconstitutional and a plan to steal his land.
