KTN News director dies in grisly Kajiado Accident

Standard Group has confirmed the awful death of prominent news director Edwin Audi, in tragic road accident on Saturday evening.

Confirming the incident, Kajiado Central Police boss Daudi Loronyokwe said the three-vehicle accident involved two lorries and a Toyota Probox, and so far, two people were confirmed dead.

According to the reports, the Toyota Probox reported to have been with Audi and his friends, failed an attempt to overtake a lorry and rammed into an oncoming truck loaded with timber.

His colleagues and others mentees mourned him as a very talented director who nurtured and created careers for the media fraternity.

“Edwin Daudi why? My heart is (broken). One of Kenya’s greatest news directors, very talented, thorough, professional, all the assignments we’ve gone for were full of fun, your news directing was top notch. I will surely miss you my friend and colleague, we all will, RIP my brother. It is well, till we meet again. May God comfort your family,” KTN News anchor Zubeida Kananu mourned.

“I don’t know what to say. You were one friendly news director, very calm under pressure, and equally relaxed away from work. Shine on your way, brother. Till we meet again,” news reporter Mark Namaswa said.

“Sadly we lost a colleague. May his soul rest in eternal peace.” Duncan Khaemba
