The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced 26 health-related courses with limited slots at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), urging prospective students to apply before the April 30, 2025 deadline.
“Good news to applicants looking for KMTC courses. Following the recent placement of students to KMTC, 26 programmes still have limited vacancies,” KUCCPS announced.
The listed programs include both diploma and certificate courses across various medical disciplines, offering opportunities for students interested in building careers in the healthcare sector.
Certificate-level courses include Health Records and Information Technology, Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine, Medical Emergency Technician, and Public Health.
Meanwhile, diploma courses on offer include Community Health, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Radiography, Nutrition and Dietetics, and Speech and Language Therapy.
KUCCPS noted that each course is available in select KMTC campuses, and students should verify the entry requirements and campus availability via the students’ portal.
The placement body has emphasized urgency due to the limited number of vacancies, encouraging early application to avoid missing out.
“The programmes, their minimum requirements and available KMTC campuses are listed on the KUCCPS Student’s Portal. Log in to the portal to apply. Deadline is April 30, 2025,” they stated.
This update comes as part of KUCCPS’s broader efforts to streamline student placement and support skills development in Kenya’s health sector.
Students are advised to make timely decisions to ensure placement in their preferred programs.
