A multi-agency security squad made up of KWS rangers and NPS officers worked quickly yesterday and successfully recovered a car that was reportedly stolen in Kwale County.
The drivers and passengers of the car were en route from Msambweni to Ruiru when they were allegedly stopped by four individuals armed with simple weapons who then robbed them and fled with the car.
The suspects fled after leaving the car in Kuranze Area in Kinango Sub-County after realizing they were being chased.
A phone was then found on one of the suspects, who was later apprehended at Nyango Area with the help of Boda Bodariders.
The vehicle has been detained at Mackinon Police Station.
NPS is appealing for anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the remaining suspects to share with the nearest police station or through NPS toll-free numbers 999, 911, 112 and 0800 722 203.
