Farmers clashed with herders who allegedly entered their farms in search of grazing, causing tension in Rumuruti town, Laikipia West.
The resulting protests by Marura farmers, who attacked the illegal grazers, resulted in the injuries of two persons.
Business in the town has been paralyzed by the mayhem, which had been steadily picking up following a series of bandit attacks that resulted in the loss of lives and property.
The event also occurs in the midst of a County-wide campaign to expel bandits from Ol Moran and adjacent ranches and conservancies.
