Despite the young coach being fired and replaced by Thomas Tuchel, Frank Lampard is reportedly still pocketing KSh 11 million Chelsea salary.

The former chelsea midfielder was shown the door in January after just 18 months following a string of poor results. Currently, Chelsea owe him about KSh 272 million after the unceremonious dismissal.

Until then, Chelsea have an obligation to keep paying him the £75k per week salary as they still have him on the wage bill.

The agreement between him and the club will see Chelsea continue the payment up until July unless he take another job elsewhere.

The German boss has managed to reignite a fire in the squad with plenty of changes to team selection and formation, which has helped them return to the top four in the Premier League table.

Tuchel acknowledged the hard work from the Chelsea group to get off to a solid start under him, but has sent out a strong message with regards to their effort after the win over Newcastle.

“The only focus will be on how to be ready for Southampton. I think that my players know this very well. We worked hard for this momentum. The players have worked incredibly hard to win all these games in a row and it will not stop. That’s the bad news, but everybody is prepared for that.”
