A Chief Magistrate’s Court in Milimani, Nairobi, has found a man guilty in connection with a Ksh 5 million land fraud case involving a parcel in Juja East Block 1/110.
The accused, Simon Ndung’u Ng’ang’a, was convicted of fraudulently obtaining Ksh 5 million from a land fraud victim under the pretense of selling him land in Juja East.
According to the prosecution, between June 11 and June 21, 2021, Simon conspired to defraud Joseph Muchoki Mugo of Ksh 5 million by presenting a fake land sale deal.
He also faced a charge of forging a title deed for a 1.012-hectare piece of land in Juja East, which was valued at Ksh 12 million.
While delivering the judgment, Magistrate Benmark Ekhubi stated that the prosecution had proven its case beyond any reasonable doubt, relying on the testimony of seven witnesses to support the charges.
“In conclusion, I find that the prosecution has established beyond an iota of doubt all the counts listed at the beginning of this judgment. I, therefore, find the accused person guilty and convict him pursuant to Section 215 of the Criminal Procedure Code,” ruled Magistrate Ekhubi.
The convict will be sentenced on April 28, 2025.
