Land Fraudster Slapped With Hefty Bond Terms

A suspect linked to a land fraud incident in Nakuru county has been released on a hefty bond after denying the charges.

Martin Ochieng Opondo who is said to have forged a title deed of Nakuru Municipality block 3/437 purporting to be prepared and issued by ministry of lands and physical planning was released on a bond of Ksh 2 Million with an alternative ksh 800,000 bail term.

The court quoted magnitude of the charges being key factor in issuing the tough bail terms.

The accused is charged with numerous offenses including forging agreement for sale of land parcel number 3/437.

Further, the accused is believed to have forged chase bank account statement in martin Ochieng Opondo purporting it to be genuine and prepared by chase bank limited.

He is also said to have forged Kenya meat commission local purchase order.

The offenses are believed to have been committed on or before 11th January 2017. Case has been set to proceed on 3rd March 2022.
