Legendary host Larry king, dies after contracting COVID-19

American talk show veteran Lary King has passed on aged 87 years. Larry was in hospital in Los Angeles. For the better part of this month for contracting Covid-19. Before he was battling with Lung and prostate cancer.

In1987 he survived a heart attack and a fatal stroke in 2019. Which left him in a coma for weeks. He began his career as a journalist after he moved to Florida. He started off in Radio where he got his first job in 1957 and he then adopted the name Larry King an advice given to him by his station manager. He then made the name official 2 years later.

In 1960 he moved on to TV and began hosting local news show called Miami undercover  where he worked with comedian Jackie Gleason .in 1971 he was arrested after he was accused of ripping off a business associate . He lost his job both on TV and radio and he then ended up working as a race announcer

The Larry King show ran from 1978 until 1994 winning  a Peabody award in 1982 .in 1985 he then moved on to CNN which was his peak of fame where the show which was assigned to him talked about everything from politics to lifestyle everything .

He went on to make appearances on CNN and also hosted web series he then ended up having a show called Politicking with Larry King.

In 2010 he stepped down and Piers Morgan took over and on his last day at the show he said “I don’t know what to say except to you my audience thank you and instead of goodbye how about so long.”

Larry has been married 7 times he became a father to 5 children and a grandpa to nine grandchildren and 4 great grand children. though last year something tragic happened to two if his children  the daughter Chaia King died of lung cancer while Andy died after he suffered a heart attack. They both died in 3 weeks.
