Bayern Munich and Barcelona have reached an agreement for the Polish star Robert Lewandowski to be sold to the Spanish club.
“Barcelona has verbally agreed with us. It’s advantageous for both parties that there is clarity “Herbert Hainer, the president of Bayern, posted on the team’s Twitter account on Saturday.
“Robert has achieved everything with us and is a very deserving player. He has our deepest gratitude.”
The two-time FIFA men’s player of the year has reportedly agreed to a four-year deal worth $50.4 million (50 million euros), including five million in potential add-ons, according to Spanish and German media. Bayern did not provide any additional information.
Lewandowski, a forward, announced on German television that he would travel to the United States with the Barcelona team from July 18 to July 31.
According to the media, he would receive his medical in Miami.
The two teams’ agreement ends the dispute with the 33-year-old who declared at the end of May that “my story with Bayern has come to an end.”
