Rapper Lil Nas X is facing serious legal trouble after a chaotic encounter with Los Angeles police last week.
The 26-year-old artist, legally known as Montero Lamar Hill, has been charged with four felonies following an alleged altercation with officers who found him nearly naked and wandering Ventura Boulevard early in the morning.
According to local media, Lil Nas X faces three counts of battery on a police officer and one count of resisting arrest. Authorities say the rapper punched an officer twice in the face before being subdued and transported to a local hospital for what was described as a possible drug overdose or mental health crisis.
Footage circulating online shows the Grammy-winning star pacing the street in his underwear, shouting at passersby and even rapping Nicki Minaj’s iconic “Monster” verse. In one clip, he warns a man filming him to put his phone away.
Police confirmed he was booked under Penal Code 69(a), meaning he must appear before a judge before any release. Lil Nas X has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The shocking incident has left fans worried, with many calling for compassion as the rapper awaits his next court date.
