Limuru Country Club Closed Temporarily

    After a fire broke out early on Saturday, January 4, 2025, the Limuru Country Club announced that its clubhouse would be temporarily closed.

    John Keru, the club’s chairman, stated in a memo that the fire started at around three in the morning, but thankfully no one was hurt.

    “We are relieved to report that no staff, members, or guests were present at the time of the incident,” the statement stated.                                                                                  

    Although the source of the incident is yet unknown, Mr. Keru stated that fire marshals arrived on the site quickly and are making every effort to evaluate the situation and save the impacted sections.

    Mr. Keru went on to say, “We regret to announce the temporary closure of the clubhouse until further notice,” stressing that the decision was made with safety and necessary evaluations in mind.

    The management also pledged to provide updates on the progress of the investigations and the timeline for reopening as soon as possible.
