A multi-agency security team has successfully recovered stolen livestock following a raid incident in the Tumuti area, Tigania East Sub-County, Meru County.
Acting on intelligence and swift tracking efforts, security officers intercepted suspected raiders within the Nakuprat Conservancy, where an exchange of fire ensued. The raiders were overwhelmed and fled into nearby bushes, abandoning part of the stolen livestock.

In a separate but coordinated operation, another team intercepted additional livestock being driven by bandits in the Nasimunye area. The bandits engaged the officers but were repulsed, leading to the recovery of more animals.
In total, sixteen head of cattle, four donkeys, and one sheep have been recovered so far. Efforts are ongoing to trace and recover the remaining livestock.

The recovered animals are currently secured, pending identification and handover to their rightful owners.
Multi-agency security teams remain on the ground conducting patrols and pursuing the bandits.
