President Uhuru Kenyatta has organized the Fifth Extraordinary Session of the National and County Governments Coordinating Summit, which shall be held on Friday, 24th July, 2020 – By Gerald Gekara.
The Session will be held convened following a surge of COVID-19 infections across our Nation.
County authorities will table their Counties’ preparedness level, in a move that may see a possible heightening of containment measures.
President Uhuru will also evaluate the evolution of the disease according to the agents of the Health Ministry, and analyze the medical models on how COVID-19 may propagate within Kenya over the months of August and September 2020.
In his statement, Uhuru called on all Kenyans to continue applying the individual and collective measures.
“Kenyans should continue correctly wearing facemasks while in public spaces, apply correct face and hand hygiene at all times, and cooperate with the physical and social distancing guidelines and protocols that have been put in place to safeguard our individual and collective health and safety. ” concluded President Uhuru
