A catholic clergy member has been found dead at his home in Emali, Makueni county.
According to sources close to him, Lt. Col Rev: Fr. George Makau was found motionless at his home shortly after a mass service.
“Fr. Makau is said to have held Holy Mass at Defence Forces Memorial Hospital Church in the morning of Sunday 28/08/2022 and later left for Emali, his home village.”
He then attended another mass at a homestead of a fellow Priest who had lost his father before heading home.
However, when neighbors came to visit him, they found him unresponsive. He was rushed to Emali Level 4 hospital where he was pronounced dead.
His body was lifted to Nairobi yesterday morning and was deposited at Memorial Mortuary. Burial preparations are underway.
