Three men presumed to be among the group of thugs deceiving unsuspecting members of the public with fake dummy phones were arraigned in court today.
The three faced charges of preparing to commit a felony contrary to section 308 of the penal code.
According to the courts, the three; Lawrence Mutiso Syombua, David Karanja and Martin Nganga were arrested along Luthuli Avenue in Nairobi.
Police recovered two dummy phones and a smartphone.
Appearing before Chief Magistrate Micheni Wendy, they denied the offence.
The prosecution however did not oppose their release on bond and they were released on a bond of Ksh 50,000 with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 30,000.
