The Machakos County Public Service Board has announced 170 job openings targeting a wide range of candidates, from Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) D- holders to diploma and degree graduates.
In a notice published on its official website, the county government called for applications from qualified Kenyans to fill vacancies across various departments. The deadline for submissions is Friday, July 11, 2025, at 5:00 PM. All applications must be submitted through the county’s online recruitment portal.

Key Positions and Requirements:
- Support Staff (15 positions): Responsibilities include cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, and garden maintenance. Minimum requirement: KCSE D- and a certificate of good conduct.
- Registered Nurse III (42 positions): Must hold a diploma in nursing and a valid license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Registered Clinical Officer III (15 positions): Requires a diploma in clinical medicine or community health and a valid practicing license.
- Pharmaceutical Technologist III (14 positions): Must have a diploma in pharmacy and be enrolled by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
- Health Records and Information Management Assistant (10 positions): Requires a certificate in health records and IT, plus basic computer skills.
- Nutrition and Dietetics Technician III (10 positions): Diploma in community or clinical nutrition required.

This recruitment drive comes amid ongoing efforts by the county to strengthen its health and administrative services through strategic staffing.
