Machakos county government has received medical equipment worth Ksh 30 million from a German organisation.
The equipment which majorly comprised emergency applications namely 20 ventilators, 50 pulse oximeters and assorted ventilatory accessories from Malteser International Team that are used on emergency cases like accidents among others were handed over to the Machakos governor Wavinya Ndeti.
The brief ceremony that was conducted outside her Machakos office was also attended by a number of CECs from the county government.
Receiving the donations, the governor on behalf of her government thanked the German organization’ ‘Malteser international’ for also agreeing to partner with her government in assisting on emergency services.

She also lauded the German organization for taking the initiative of training Ambulance drivers and their assistants from the county government in attaining more skills during which a number of the emergency staff were issued completion certificates of the course.
The governor called on the staff to maximumly utilise the skills achieved to promote their services to the people of Machakos county.
She also appealed to other wellwishers to bring forth help to the people of Machakos most of whom were languishing with hunger.
She hailed other non governmental organisations that have been partnering with her government to provide relief food to the starving people of the county.
