Machakos Governor Mutua: Nthenge believed In My Presidency

Following the death of former Kamukunji MP George Nthenge, Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua is among the top political leaders who have suffered the most.

Nthenge, a businessman and former Cabinet Secretary, died on Tuesday at the age of 94 from Covid-19 problems, according to his family.

He had access to oxygen and would still be alive if it wasn’t for Covid.

In a message to Nthenge’s family, the Maendeleo Chap Chap party chairman revealed that he had planned to send Nthenge and his wife on a vacation to Mombasa long before Covid-19 was discovered in the nation.

Terming Nthenge as a visionary and determined leader, Mutua also stated that the independence-era politician had predicted that he (Mutua) will become the president of Kenya in one time.

“In his mind he told me that I will the president of this country, and I want to tell him that I will work hard to fulfill those ambitions in 2022,” added Mutua.

The second term governor announced that he will be on the ballot in 2022.
