Prof. Richard Alex Nyabera Magoha, the younger brother of the late former Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha, was laid to rest on Saturday in Gem, Siaya County.
The cortege left the Aga Khan Funeral Home in Kisumu early in the morning, accompanied by family and friends of the late Prof. Nyabera, who died on December 6, 2022, at the age of 69, after a brief illness.
Prof. Nyabera left behind his wife Janet Achieng Magoha, and three children, Crystal Magoha, Ashley Magoha, and Bernard Magoha
Former Defense CS Eugene Wamalwa, who was also present at the service, expressed his condolences to the family and pledged the support of his former colleagues who served in the Cabinet alongside Prof. George Magoha.
“Azimio wametuma rambirambi zao, tukiongozwa na kinara wetu Raila Amolo Odinga, Mama Martha Karua, Kalonzo Musyoka, Oparanya na wengine. Condolences to the family, friends of the late Prof. Richard Alex Nyabera Magoha,” Wamalwa said.
