Nominated Member of Parliament Maina Kamanda yesterday got into a scuffle with Nyandarua Women Representative Faith Gitau.

According to reports, it is alleged that Maina Kamanda criticized a legislator for apparently coming into the gathering with irate youth in tow.

“This is a church and must be respected,” Kamanda warned the woman rep at Kiandege AIC church in Ndaragwa sub-county.

He went on to further castigate the leadership, who had earlier been heard confronting the national government for poor service in Nyandarua County.

After noticing the tension was building, the nominated Jubilee lawmaker concluded the donation session before leaving the church under tight security. The church pastor Samuel Gachango thereafter issued an apology.

Since his allegiance to Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, Maina Kamanda has faced backlash from a section of Central Kenya leaders.
