Ex-Mungiki leader Maina Njenga was taken to an undisclosed place on Thursday afternoon after presenting himself at the DCI Headquarters.
This was after spending more than two hours inside the Directorate of Criminal Investigation offices on Kiambu Road.
Police had previously stated that Maina Njenga was on his way to Nakuru, where he surrendered himself on Wednesday.
However, rumors then surfaced that the ex-Mungiki commander was in Nanyuki.
Jeremiah Kioni, the embattled Jubilee Secretary General, described the claims against Njenga as harassment and a political witch-hunt.
“Njenga was duped. We were conferring. “The DCI then called him to consult with him, but they blocked the lawyers who wanted to join him,” he explained.
Kioni stated that Njenga was not permitted to enter a plea in Nakuru on Wednesday and that he was later instructed to enter plea against his criminal charges on Thursday.
