A middle-aged man has been arrested in Makueni County for allegedly killing his father.
According to Nziu Assistant Chief Alex King’waa, the son hacked the father with a machete over a family dispute.
“The two have had issues for quite sometime. They have been wrangling over family issues,” King’waa said.
On that fateful day, the father attempted to attack his son, who was at the time in the farm, only to be wrestled to the ground by the young man.
The son then grabbed the machete and hacked his father in the head, killing him on the spot.
The body has been taken to the Makueni Hospital mortuary.
Meanwhile, the suspect remains detained at the Makueni Police Station pending his arraignment.
