A Makueni court sentenced a 32-year-old man to ten years in prison for defiling an eight-year-old girl.Â
Anthony Kisilu was found guilty of defiling the minor by Makindu Court’s Resident Magistrate Joan Otieno on June 17, 2021 at around 3:00 pm in Mau village, Makinya location in Mbooni East sub-county.Â
On January 26, 2022, the accused was charged, and he pleaded not guilty to the accusations and denied knowing the youngster.
Magistrate Otieno stated that the accused was positively identified as the person who took the girl and carried her to the house by several witnesses.
In her testimony, the girl stated that the suspect tied her up before committing the crime, and medical records showed that her jeans were stained with blood and that she had injuries.
