Four people have died on the spot following a fatal accident involving a truck carrying sand and a trailer.
The early morning incident occurred in the DC area in Mukaa, Makueni county along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.
The sand truck was coming from the direction of Mombasa when it collided head-on with a trailer that was coming from the direction of Nairobi towards Mombasa.
Three people inside the sand truck died along with the driver of the trailer that was carrying ballast.
The bodies of the four have been sent to the Kilungu hospital mortuary while the investigation continues.
