Senator Cleophas Malala of Kakamega county has downplayed rumours of wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka getting endorsed as one Kenya Alliance (OKA) flagbearer.

The Senator claimed they are tired of supporting outsiders for the top job while speaking in Kakamega on Saturday.

According to the MP, the Wiper leader lacks the necessary numbers to gain the support of ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi.

The report of the OKA technical committee, according to the Senator, will not be supported unless Musalia is nominated as the alliance’s presidential candidate.

“We’d like to explain that it’s a little river that feeds into a larger river. We, the Luhyas, are numerous. We can’t support other individuals while refusing to support our own son “he stated

According to an OKA technical committee study, Kalonzo is the alliance’s best bet.

The committee decided that the Wiper boss had a greater chance than Musalia after a series of discussions and deliberations.

Musalia has already endorsed Kalonzo when he ran as Raila’s running mate, according to the senator, and it is now time for the two to repay his kindness.

OKA is yet to announce their presidential candidate, after months of deliberation and several deadlines.
