    First Lady Rachel Ruto hosted retired Bishop Silas Yego of the African Inland Church (AIC) at State House.

    Bishop Yego is a close friend of the first family, having officiated at Rachel’s wedding to Ruto.

    Rachel expressed her joy at spending time with the bishop and thanked him for his many years of service to the church and the nation.

    “It was a pleasure to host Retired Bishop Silas Yego of the African Inland Church (AIC) at State House in Nairobi.” Bishop Silas, who officiated my wedding with William, is a father figure to us, and we are grateful for his many years of service to the church and the nation,” she wrote.

    The photos sparked outrage, with some Netizens accusing her of misusing the State House.

    “Way too much. Abuse of the State House You appear to be unaware that Kenya is a secular state. What about Muslims, Buddhists, and other religious groups? Aren’t they also Kenyans who pay taxes? “You’re telling them that Christianity owns the Public State House,” one of her supporters said.
