Man arraigned in court for stealing a notebook in a Mercedes Benz

A man was presented before Kibera court after he was accused of stealing a notebook from a parked Mercedes Benz vehicle.

Stephen Mule appeared today before senior resident’s magistrates Renee Gitagwa, accused of theft.

It was said that on February 18th, Mule stole a notebook from a Mercedes Benz parked at Lang’ata cemetery. The said notebook is valued at Sh13, 000.

The notebook belonged to one Sarah Wairimu. He denied charges of the first account but pleaded guilty of the second account.

On the second account, he was accused of being in possession of an item suspected to have been stolen. The duty magistrate ordered that the accused be brought back to court on May 6th for facts and explanations.

It was said that on March 1st, he assaulted one Monicah Juma in South C and injured her. She suffered injuries on her forehead.

The accused however denied charges and was released on Sh30, 000 cash bail. His case will be heard on May 14th, 2020.
