A 4-year-old boy has been chopped of his private parts by an 18-year-old male who is claimed to be mentally challenged, according to Yatta sub-county police chief Jane Makau.
The boy was first locked into a house in Ikombe market and it’s believed he was sodomized before his private parts were chopped.
He was rushed to a private clinic for emergency care, then to Matuu level four hospital before being referred to Kenyatta national hospital, where he is now being treated.
The assailant has been arrested and is being held at Ikombe police post, Makau has confirmed.
