A man was this morning given a thorough beating by a mob in the Eden Tea Plantations in Limuru after allegedly raping a high school student.
According to her narration, the man gave her a lift from Ngecha in Limuru his car.
One of the two girls got off at St Paul University, while the other continued on her own with the driver.
Moments after alighting, the student narrates that the driver then sped into the bushes and reportedly assaulted her while she was on her way to her destination.
Later, he told the child that he planned to murder her and bury her in tea bushes.
While approaching the Eden Tea Plantations, the girl spotted tea pickers and called for help.
The girl and the driver got into an altercation. And, much as in the movies, the girl grabbed the wheel and steered the car into a ditch.
The tea pickers from Eden Tea and Kiawaroga joined in the yelling, and the driver was captured by the enraged crowd. Before the cops came and rescued him from the crowd, he was beaten like a slave.
Locals say the driver was taken to Tigoni police station pending legal processing.
The police officers discovered syringes, needles, and bones.
