Police are holding a suspect over claims he threatened to harm Gatundu North MP Wanjiku Kibe.
The suspect is said to be in a campaign team of an opponent of Kibe and his arrest caused tension at the Gatundu police station as a group thronged there seeking his release.
But more officers were sent there last night and managed to repulse the group.
He is expected in court today to face charges of cyber bullying.
