One suspect has been arrested in Limuru, Kiambu county, in connection with the murder of a 29-year-old woman on Tuesday night.
This came after early investigations revealed that the suspect was the last person seen with the dead, whose name was only given as Chebet.
Limuru acting OCPD Paul Yator confirmed the incident, saying that investigations have been initiated to determine whether the dead was raped by her assailants before being killed.
He stated that the death was reported by a Mitumba seller on Wednesday morning as he went to open his shop.
“I was called early in the morning by the hawkers’ chairman, who informed me that he had come across a lifeless body dumped behind a building adjacent to the Limuru open-air market,” he added.
The body of the woman who is alleged to have lost her child in a car accident some months ago was partially naked.
