In a domestic dispute over a parking spot, a man suspected of beating up her sister has been charged with assault and causing actual bodily harm.
Joseph Kariuki Mukuria is accused of assaulting his sister Jennifer Njeri Mukuria in Nairobi on January 10, 2021, according to the Kibera law courts.
Ms Mukuria wished to go but was unable to do so until her brother shifted his car to make room for her.
According to court documents, he allegedly turned on her and slapped her when she asked him to remove the car.
Ms Mukuria ran, but the suspect chased her down and allegedly assaulted her.
Before Senior Resident Magistrate Charles Mwaniki, the suspect rejected the charges in court.
He was released on Sh10,000 cash bail.
