A man has been arraigned in court for failing to supply gold worth Ksh.
2m. The particulars are that on 29th March, 2019 at Barclays bank
Queensway branch in Nairobi with intend to defraud obtained 20,000 US
Dollars equivalent to Ksh.2m from Sam Kazal by falsely pretending that
he was in a position to sell him 3kgs of gold, a fact he knew to be
false.

Kaza is a British national and the Managing Director of Edge Company
Limited in Dubai, a company that deals with gold and other precious.
Later on 13th March, 2019 the complainant met the accused person who
claimed to be a supplier of gold in Kenya and that is how the
transactions took place. But later the complainant discovered that the
gold was fake.
The accused, Benjamin Onyango Oguok denied the charges before Chief Magistrate, Francis Andayi at Milimani Law Courts.
He will be released upon payment of a bond of Ksh. 500,000 and an alternative cash bail of Ksh. 500,000.
The hearing of the case had been set on 13th May, 2019 and mention on 23rd April, 2019.
