Man Charged For Insulting A Police Officer

A man accused of insulting a police officer on duty has been charged at Milimani law courts.

Samuel Mwangi Githinji appeared before Chief Magistrate Micheni Wendy and denied one count of offensive conduct against the law.

Mwangi was charged with using abusive language to Coprol Virginia Karimi on May 29, 2022 along Moi Avenue Street in Nairobi CBD.

He is accused of saying “Wewe usiniletee umalaya hapa” with the intent of provoking a breach of peace of a traffic officer who was on duty at the time of the incident.

The court released him on a cash bail of Ksh 20,000.
