On Saturday, 26-year-old Robert Kioko committed suicide in Athi River, Machakos County.

Kioko allegedly committed suicide inside his residence in Athi River’s Slota slum on Saturday, according to authorities.

“Police raced to the location and discovered the body of one Robert Musila Kioko, 26 years old, suspended from the roof top of his single-roomed house wearing a red bed sheet and kneeling on the floor.”

The dead had no physical injuries, according to police, and no suicide note was discovered at the spot when they picked up the corpse.

The situation was photographed, and the deceased was transferred to the mortuary at Shalom Community Hospital pending an autopsy.

Robert was the first born of four children to the deceased’s father, a local trader in Athi River town.
