A middle-aged man has been killed by an elephant in Rakhasi, Talio in Sagala area, Taita Taveta County.
The body of the man, identified as Allen Mwachoki, was found on Sunday evening with visible injuries.
The body has been taken to Moi Referral Hospital mortuary pending autopsy.
In recent days, elephants and other wild animals have been spotted near human settlements, amid the ravaging drought.
The most affected areas include Tsavo National Park and the surrounding community conservancies.
