A 25-year-old-man allegedly killed his 3-year-old daughter before committing suicide on Friday at Saseta area in Bomet County.
Confirming the incident, Konoin Sub-County police chief Tom Achiya claimed that Titus Rono allegedly murdered his daughter in a tea plantation barely a kilometer from his home, before his body was discovered dangling a few meters away from the original crime scene.
Rono’s wife is said to have evaded death by a hair’s breadth after noticing her husband’s unusual behavior.
According to area chief Emmy Ng’etich, Rono had allegedly threatened to kill his wife following a domestic row.
Efforts to arrest the suspect never materialised.
The bodies of the two have since been moved to Kapketet Hospital Referral mortuary.
