Man Suspected Of Kidnapping Ex-Wife Detained For Three Days

A man suspected of playing a crucial role in the kidnapping of his ex-wife has been detained for three days.

Abdullahi Mohammed Gulled allegedly the former husband to Shankara Adan Hassan was arraigned in court under a miscellaneous application to detain him for seven days to conclude investigations.

According to DCI, preliminary investigations indicated that the ex-wife was on board a Taxi when an unknown motor vehicle with three occupants blocked the road.

One of the men who at the time was dressed in police uniform ordered her to alight from the Taxi and enter the unknown vehicle.

The Taxi driver reported the abduction with investigations leading to the arrest of Abdullahi Mohammed Gulled.

The adducted woman was later rescued by police in Meru,

The court concluded that the DCI had provided sufficient grounds for the detention of the suspect, however, the Magistrate allowed a three-day detention order against the suspect.
