Kisumu County Director of Protocol Bob Madanji and his wife escaped death on Monday after their vehicle went up in flames in Kondele, Kisumu County.
The vehicle reportedly developed a mechanical problem before bursting into flames.
The couple managed to leave the vehicle unhurt.
“I thank God for saving me when my Peugeot car developed an electric fault and caught fire along Kondele By-pass,” said Bob Madanji.
Public members also managed to rescue all the belonging inside the vehicle.
“Despite the car being burnt beyond recognition we managed to salvage majority of my personal effect and is also safe and unharmed.”
“I am also grateful to the Kondele boys who moved with speed in an effort to salvage the situation,” he added.
