Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has revealed that he wants to leave the club after he told his agent to consider a move to Barcelona this summer.

The Portuguese star, who still has three years left in his contract, has informed Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola that he wants to face another challenge in his career.

However, City has made it clear that Barcelona will have to pay at least £86million for his signature, which may be difficult for the Spanish giants because of their current poor financial status.

This means that the 27-year-old may have to wait and see if Barcleona can sell Frenkie de Jong to Manchester United, as they may use those funds to secure his signature from City.

Bernardo also spoke with Barca chiefs about a move to the club when they signed Ferran Torres from City in January.

Bernado joined Manchester City in 2017 from Monaco and has made 249 appearances scoring 48 goals and assisting 50 times with four Premier League titles in five seasons and other domestic trophies.
