Manchester United Hold Talks with UAE Consortium over Possible Full Sale

Top executives from Manchester United are meeting today with a United Arab Emirates-based consortium to explore a potential full takeover of the club. The discussions, held in London, come amid speculation that the Glazer family may be willing to entertain offers for their majority stake.

The club is currently valued at more than £5 billion, and interest in ownership has intensified as United struggles on the pitch and seeks financial reinvigoration under mixed performance.

Though the Glazers still hold majority control, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, whose INEOS group controls 27.7 % of the club and oversees its football operations, may be affected by any move toward full ownership. Under existing “drag-along” rights, Ratcliffe might be compelled to join a full sale on the same terms.

The consortium is rumored to have already approached former United players to act as ambassadors or public faces for a takeover bid, though these reports remain unconfirmed.

Manchester United officials declined to confirm the negotiations, and some sources suggest skepticism over how advanced these discussions really are.

As the day progresses, fans and analysts will be watching closely to see whether this marks the beginning of a new ownership chapter at Old Trafford or another high-profile rumor in the saga of Manchester United’s future.
