Guardiola: The Premier League Cup Is Mine

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola insisted that the Premier League title race is still in his team’s hands after a comfortable win over Leeds United.

Rodri, Nathan Ake, Gabriel Jesus, and Fernandinho all scored for the Sky Blues at Elland Road this evening, helping them to leapfrog Liverpool in the Premier League table.

After beating Newcastle United, Jurgen Klopp’s side went to the top of the table for a brief period, but they now trail City by a single point once more.

The task for the current league leaders remains the same: win all of their remaining games and they will repeat as champions for the second year in a row.

“It is in our hands. Newcastle, Wolves, West Ham and Aston Villa. We know exactly what we have to do and we have the same opinion. We win, will be champions. We drop [points], they will be champions,” said the Catalan coach after the full-time whistle.

City and Liverpool have maintained high standards throughout the season, as they did in the previous season, and look set for another dramatic finish as they push each other to the limit.
